Termes of trade


§1 CasaColibry is a company under Colombian law that rents out vacation apartments to guests and organizes leisure activities. The vacation home is located at the edge of the national park “Las Farallones” in Cali, Columbia. The facilities of the rooms and the house can be found on this website. You will also find a description of the services offered in the house.

§2 Casa Colibry arranges leisure activities, excursions and outdoor events for vacationers. CasaColibry also arranges complete travel packages excluding the flight to Bogota. These services are offered by partner companies who are responsible for the implementation of the activities.

§3 Booking: Guests can get an overview of the house and the services offered in the menu option “The house”. By selecting the various menu options, guests can create a program. In the “Your trip” submenu, the contact data, the dates of the stay and the various activities are booked. At the end, a message is sent to the CasaColibry team. They will check the requests and confirm the reservation by e-mail to the address provided. The team will organize the groups accordingly and schedule the desired activities in agreement with the organizers. If necessary, adjustments to the program will be proposed to take into account local circumstances.

§4 Validity of the reservation: The reservation is not binding and can be cancelled free of charge by either party at any time up to the day of arrival without giving reasons. Casacolibry also offers its services on the portals “Booking.com” …… Reservations and bookings on these portals have priority; the terms and conditions indicated on the portals apply to these reservations and bookings. In case of changes in the scope of services offered after the booking has been made or if changes in the scope of services offered are requested, the offer will be updated by e-mail. The latest offer shall always be valid.

§5 Reservation: The binding reservation of the stay is made automatically as soon as the room rent has been transferred to the account of CasaColibry, indicating the reservation number. The transfer must be made in the currency “Euro” for the amount of the invoice indicated in the reservation. The receipt of the payment will be confirmed by e-mail; the e-mail will also contain the invoice as an attachment (pdf format). It is not possible to cancel a reservation. Activities, excursions and outdoor activities are booked and paid for on site during the stay. The reservation of these activities is only binding with regard to the price. The organization of these services is the responsibility of our partners, taking into account local conditions such as weather, traffic, security situation and unforeseen events. CasaColibry only acts as an intermediary for these activities and accepts no responsibility whatsoever.

§6 Arrival and departure: On the scheduled day of arrival, we welcome our guests with a welcome cocktail and Colombian fruit. Rooms will be assigned and a brief introduction to local conditions will be given. House rules are shared and discussed. On departure day, guests leave their rooms after breakfast. Forgotten items can be returned to the address indicated at a cost.

§6 Occupancy of the rooms: Binding occupancy of the chalets takes place on the day of arrival. In the case of tour groups, the occupancy of the rooms and the booking of activities can be binding through a spokesperson of the group. The guest only pays for the chalet, including breakfast, for two persons. The house will provide extra beds for a maximum of 3 children up to 14 years old.

§7 House rules: The guest agrees to comply with the house rules. In particular, these rules prohibit the carrying of weapons and the use of drugs. In addition, the guest agrees to respect the rules and regulations concerning the protection of species and not to bring protected plants or animals. Guests are welcome in our house at any time. However, for security reasons, we kindly ask you to understand that we must insist on prior registration with the presentation of a valid identity document and document this presence.

§8 Claims and disputes: We do our utmost to provide our guests with a pleasant stay. However, in case of misunderstandings or disagreements, we kindly ask you to enter your complaint in writing on a computer on site as soon as possible. Automatic translation allows us to avoid misunderstandings due to language. We will do our best to resolve these problems. Complaints must be submitted during the stay; those submitted afterwards will not be taken into account. This does not affect the right to take legal action for breach of contract.
In case of serious breach of the house rules, the management reserves the right to immediately expel the guest from the house without any right to compensation or reimbursement.
